After 15 years of suffering I came across some info that suggested suppositories work better than pills that your take orally because there's some sort of shut-off that can occur with the stomach lining rendering the pills useless. Suppositories go straight into the bloodstream and voltaren is an anti-inflammatory which makes the inflamed blood vessels shrink!
